DR Radio | Interview with Karen Koenig: How to Make a Full Recovery from Emotional Eating

Dec 18, 2018

Karen Koenig will be sharing with us her personal journey and her struggles with food, and we’ll be talking about the emotional intensity that centers around food and eating -- the mixed messages we hear growing up and in our everyday lives, the many ways we learn to judge ourselves and each other and tune out our true feelings.

After three decades of applying her ideas in therapy, she’s clear and centered and an expert in making the healing process crystal-clear. We’ll be talking about primary and secondary emotions, the importance of embracing all feelings with loving curiosity, and how to rid ourselves of the false moral judgements society imposes on food. She’s an expert in freeing yourself from the diet cycle and the harmful, limiting concept of food as an addiction.

She’ll be sharing practical tips for positive self talk and self compassion, for leading a balanced life of work and play and love that’s based on a deep understanding of who we are, and how this work is the key to transforming from a shame-based sense of self to one that’s rooted in pride and lived out with joy. And she’ll be sharing mothering tactics that can help you raise children unburdened by shame, who’ll be free of the struggles so many of us have faced.

I don’t know about you, but I know I can never have too many practical tips and ideas in my toolbox to help me on my journey! So I’m really excited to be talking with Karen, and I hope you will join us here on Divine Renewal Radio!

Holding you in the highest vision of love and health,

Myriam llano
